A Colorado woman missing since Sunday has been found dead in a car partially submerged in a canal near Timnath in Larimer County.
Family confirmed 20-year-old Kaylee Russell’s death in a GoFundMe post.
Russell vanished on Sunday after her father helped her change a flat tire at a park-and-ride in Loveland, as CrimeOnline reported. From there, she was headed to meet a friend in Pierce and cousins and La Salle, but she never made it to either location.
According to KUSA, the car Russell was traveling in was found Thursday afternoon. Investigators dispatched divers to the scene, who located a body in the vehicle.
The coroner’s office has not confirmed the identity, but the GoFundMe post said it was Russell.
The vehicle was found about 13 miles from the park-and-ride where Russell was last seen.
