Missing Florida Woman Found Dead Day After Husband’s Pickup Truck Found on Fire – Crime Online

A missing Florida woman was found dead last week, a day after her husband’s truck was found engulfed in flames.

Amber Renee Estep’s mother reported her missing on January 19 after she missed several days of work. Police spoke with her husband, Brian Estep that same day.

Brian Estep told deputies he and his wife got into an argument as they returned from a medical appointment on Merritt Island on January 16, and he let her out of the truck when she asked to get out somewhere along Interstate 95.

Hours after that interview, Estep’s pickup truck was found on fire in Port Saint John, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.

“Our team is currently working with the Fire Marshal’s Office to determine exactly what took place and the cause of the blaze,” Ivey said.

He did not say what, if anything, Brian Estep said about the blaze or even whether deputies interviewed him after the truck was found.

The next day, deputies found Amber Estep’s body on State Route 46 near Mims.

“Currently, our investigation is ongoing as agents from our homicide and crime scene units are conducting interviews, examining evidence, and working from several different angles to bring Amber’s killer to justice,” Ivey said.

Ivey did not say whether Brian Estep is a suspect or person of interest in murder. He also did not say how Amber Estep, 39, died.

Anyone with information should contact the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office or Crimeline at 877-423-TIPS (8477).
