Police in Georgia searching for a woman who called for help following a dispute, then vanished before help arrived.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 42-year-old Melanie Patton called 911 Tuesday to report her involvement in a dispute at a home off Windsor Street at Fulton Street in Mechanicsville. According to investigators, she claimed to have been in an altercation with two people but left the scene after the call.
The other two people involved in the reported altercation were not at the scene when police arrived, and no witnesses to the incident could be located. Police said they managed to identify Patton through her cell phone number.
Patton is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair that police say she currently has in short style.
