Missing Teen Girl Found 2,000 Miles from Home at Michigan Sex Offender’s House – Crime Online

A missing 14-year-old girl was found this week at the home of a convicted sex offender in Michigan nearly a month after she vanished from her Seattle-area home.

Keith Freerksen, 30, has now been charged with two counts of trafficking a minor for commercial sexual activity, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime, one court of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct, and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposesm WZZM reported.

He may face more charges in Washington state.

Freerksen, who was arrested at his home on Thursday, was previously convicted in Florida of possession of child pornography, the Michigan Sex Offender’s Registry said.

The girl’s mother previously told KING that her daughter had been speaking with someone she met on a now-defunct social media platform called Omegle, which randomly matched users and shut down in November after years of controversy involving sexual exploitation and racism.

The girl left her Mount Vernon, Washington, home on January 6 and apparently traveled to South Haven, Michigan, using a ride-share service, according to WZZM. Investigators eventually tracked a ride booked for her by a man named “Keith” whose address was in South Haven, more than 2,000 miles away.
