Missouri State Trooper Charged With Rape – Crime Online

A Missouri state trooper has been placed on administrative leave after police in West Plains charged him with rape.

Court documents say a woman reported that Ethan Minge came to her home on July 27 and tried to have sex with her, KMBC reports. When she repeatedly said no, he allegedly pushed her onto her back and raped her.

The woman said he texted her the next day, acknowledging she said no and apologizing, the affidavit says.

She reported the rape in October, KRCG said.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a statement that Minge joined the department in January 2024 and was assigned to Troop G.

“We are aware of the arrest of Trooper Ethan Minge following a criminal investigation by the West Plains Police Department,” said MSHP Public Information and Education Division Captain Scott White.

“In accordance with Patrol policy, our Professional Standards Division has been notified of the incident. While the administrative review process continues, Trooper Minge is on administrative leave with no pay, effective December 9.”

Minge pleaded not guilty in his initial court appearance and was given a $10,000 bond, KMBC said. He is not currently listed on a jail roster.
