MLK Jr.’s Daughter Speaks Out After White House Unseals FBI Documents – Crime Online

On Tuesday, the National Archives released declassified files related to the FBI’s surveillance of Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr.

According to the Hill, the 243,000 pages also included the FBI’s investigation into King’s 1968 assassination. His surviving daughter, Bernice King, lauded the documents’ release in a joint statement with her brother Martin Luther King III — but called attention to another pressing issue hours later.

“Now, do the Epstein files,” she wrote on X alongside a picture of her late father.

The release of MLK Jr.’s FBI files comes as the Trump Administration faces mounting calls to share more information regarding Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein died in custody in 2019 — and the Justice Department and FBI said earlier this month that he did not have a client list. The agencies also maintained he died by suicide.

On Tuesday, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he plans to meet Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for grooming and abusing Epstein’s underage victims.

“I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law — and no lead is off-limits,” he wrote.
