Southern Charm’s Molly O’Connell is officially off the market.
“I have been recently dating someone for the past few months,” she told The Daily Dish during an exclusive interview in December. “He’s my boyfriend.”
The euphonium-playing band member
Molly didn’t reveal the identity of her new man, but she did share that he’s he’s “from the South” and has lived in Charleston, South Carolina “for a long time.” What’s more, like the euphonium-playing band member herself, he’s also a musician, as he plays guitar.
“He’s a talented guy,” Shep Rose added in the joint interview, also noting that he definitely approves of the “super, super good guy.”
The Southern Charm-ers’ statements aligned with what they said on the Dec. 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where Molly referred to the “very talented” music maker. Added Shep, “We’re very happy about this … They’re in a band together. That always works, right?”
Andy Cohen cheekily replied, “I might put more money on it working than the two of you, with all due.”
Details on Molly O’Connell and Shep Rose’s brief romance
Following *that* kiss between Molly and Shep on the Season 10 finale, the friends admitted on WWHL to sharing “a few fun nights” together once the cameras stopped rolling, putting an end to Molly’s “celibate” lifestyle. She had previously declared that she had a crush on Shep, describing him as “undeniably a handsome man.”
“He’s extremely intelligent; He’s very open-minded,” Molly added at the time. “Overall, I think Shep is definitely up there for me.”

Fast forward to when the Season 10 cast cheered them on for the finale kiss, which came after Shep’s breakup from Miss Bahamas pageant queen Sienna Evans. And while some might have held out hope for the pair, Molly recently told Entertainment Tonight that the romance had run its course before Season 11 began.
“I think we are just better as friends,” Molly said in the Nov. 30 interview. “I think on paper, all of it makes sense, but it’s Shep at the end of the day. But I love Shep. He’s so much fun. We had a fun time — a good time, not a long time.”
What happened between Molly O’Connell and Kory Keefer?
In the interim of Molly’s kiss with Shep and dating a new man, Winter House alum Kory Keefer shot his shot with Molly on the Southern Charm Season 11 premiere. The pair enjoyed some flirting and innuendo, but she didn’t fall for Kory’s pick-up lines. As she later said in her confessional, “Oh, wow, shiny, toxic f—kboy. Like, my therapy apparently is not working very well if this is who I think is cute.”
All said, Molly’s tears over missing her mini-tuba practice with the Charleston Concert Band for Madison LeCroy’s baby shower put a damper on the Bravolebs’ flirty exchange.
But, as far as Shep and Molly, perhaps fans can hope for more details in Shep’s upcoming memoir.
