An Oklahoma man was arrested earlier this month after he was allegedly caught raping an underage girl.
On January 13, Donovan Scott Sheppard, 39, was reportedly involved in a bar fight and taken home by a woman whom he lived with. The victim was sleeping at the time of the incident but her mother eventually woke up to find Sheppard sexually assaulting the girl, according to KFOR.
The mother reportedly held Sheppard at gunpoint until police arrived. Sheppard, a youth baseball coach, allegedly revealed to police that he was HIV-positive.
According to KFOR, the victim told authorities that this was not the first instance in which Sheppard assaulted her. She allegedly went on to tell a forensic interviewer that she was raped six times, including on her birthday.
Sheppard is facing a slew of charges, including child rape, molestation, and exposing someone to HIV. His bond was set at $500,000.
