A 34-year-old mother in Kentucky has been arrested after she allegedly enlisted her young children in a plot to make her former mother-in-law — the kids” grandmother — suffer a serious allergic reaction, even marking her work with a hand-written note.
Tiffany Gregory was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with one count each of first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree stalking, and unlawful transaction with a minor, records reviewed by Law&Crime show. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed by authorities, reported to the Louisville Police Department that Gregory had been sending her threatening messages for several months, according to a report from Louisville ABC affiliate WHAS. The alleged threats were increasingly concerning because the victim also claimed that she had spotted Gregory driving past her home on multiple occasions.
In an alleged message from early April, Gregory allegedly sent the victim a video in which Gregory had surreptitiously filmed the victim standing in line at a local Walgreens.

The alleged harassment culminated on July 7, when authorities claim that Gregory picked up her two children, ages 8 and 11, to go to the zoo, but told them first that they needed to “run an errand,” Louisville Fox affiliate WDRB reported.
That “errand” reportedly entailed having the children “stomp” on multiple bell peppers — a food Gregory knew her former mother-in-law was allergic to, authorities say. Gregory then allegedly put the crushed bell peppers into a birthday gift bag and instructed her children to bring the bag to their grandmother’s house and leave it on her porch.
The children — also knowing that their grandmother was severely allergic to bell peppers — refused to comply with the demand. Instead, Gregory allegedly asked a friend for assistance.
According to a report from local NBC affiliate WAVE, Gregory’s friend allegedly placed the bag with the bell peppers on the victim’s car along with a hand-written birthday card that read:
“You ruined my life. Enjoy your allergic reaction b—.”
Fortunately for the victim, her husband was the one who found the crushed peppers and discarded the bag.
The victim’s grandchildren also reportedly told police that in mid-June, their mother told them she was going to drop off some “legal paperwork” at their grandmother’s house. However, while at the victim’s home, Gregory allegedly “rubbed a pink substance on the driver’s door handle of the victim’s vehicle,” per WBRD.
When the victim next went to her vehicle, she reportedly wiped the handle off with a napkin. She “later woke up in the hospital” after suffering an allergic reaction.
During her arraignment on Wednesday, Gregory pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against her. She is currently being held in the Louisville Metro Detention Center on $25,000 cash-only bond. Records show that Gregory is currently scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 7.
