Montana Girl Still Missing Nearly 5 Years After ‘Spending Time with Uncle’ – Crime Online

A now-8-year-old Montana girl is still missing after vanishing from the Two Medicine area in 2021.

According NonStopLocal, Arden Pepion was last seen on April 22, 2021, while “spending time with her uncle” at Joe Show Road East, in Two Medicine region, in the southeastern side of Glacier National Park.

She was three at the time of her disapperance.

Her uncle, identified as HaHaax Vielle, later pleaded guilty to negligent endangerment, KRTV reports. Arden and his girlfriend had reportedly been “practicing shooting” when they saw footprints leading to the river.

The Blackfeet Tribal Prosecutor’s Office said that they did not report Arden missing until around five hours later. Searchers later found a boot and footprints near the river believed to be Arden’s.

The Daily Montanan reports that cadaver dogs subsequently searched the area, along with a scuba diving team, but the search proved unsuccessful.

At the time of her disappearance, Arden stood 3 feet tall and weighed 31 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen in a grey sweater, black leggings, and a purple jacket with a unicorn design on the front.

The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs is currently leading the investigation, and the case remains open. Tips should be submitted to 833-560-2065.
