An Ohio mother has been arrested months after investigators say she poured hot water over her young son and then tried to hide his injuries with diapers and socks.
Court documents say Laneasha Walker hurt the boy on December 12, WKRC reports. The child, whose age was not given, suffered second degree burns over 10 percent of his body.
Walker is also accused of lying about takin the boy to the doctor.
He was eventually brought to Cincinnati Children’s, where doctors noted both old and new burns.
Investigators obtained text messages and witness statements and spoke with the boy’s siblings before making the arrest last week.
She appeared in court on Saturday on three counts of child endangering and was given a $75,000 bond. She has been ordered not to contact the victim if she posts bond.
