Pennsylvania police are searching for a Uniontown man who vanished following his wife’s death.
According to ABC 4, Nicole Zambrano was reported missing Friday by co-workers at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Police performed a welfare check at Zambrano’s home after she failed to show up for work several days in a row.
She was subsequently discovered dead on Monday at her Uniontown residence on Bierer Avenue. The suspect, identified as the victim’s husband, Art Guty Jr., is reportedly at large.
Initially, law enforcement thought that Guty had left the state, but subsequent information revealed the information to be false. Lt. Thomas Kolencik said Guty also failed to provide a credible account of his wife’s whereabouts.
“When he did give us information, it wasn’t accurate,” he said, adding that the victim had “a gunshot wound to a vital part of the body.”
“It’s not the way you want to start off 2024.”
Guty has not yet been charged but Kolencik said police plan to issue a warrant for his arrest after they process additional evidence.
