In a bizarre case of déjà vu, Nathan Gallagher found himself once again frustrated with lead deckhand Joe Bradley’s romantic decisions during Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10, and he turned to the one person he knew would understand: Gael Cameron.
Producers showed Nathan’s text to Gael venting his irritation during Episode 16, and it read: “You would be so annoyed. Joe’s back to his old tricks flirting with Kizzi in front of V.”
Gael later texted back, “Poor V!”
The conversation came after both Nathan and deckhand Victoria “V” SanJuan observed stew Kizzi Kitchener and Joe practicing a seductive dance for a charter guest performance during the Jan. 12 episode.
“This flirting and giggling over here — in front of V — it’s so selfish!” Nathan complained to producers. “He needs to reel it in big time, because what’s happening between them two is not good.”
What happened between Joe Bradley and V?
Although Joe and V embarked on a boatmance during the charter season, Joe found himself in murky waters when V temporarily left M/Y Bravado to recover from illness, as well as the anniversary of the death of her ex. While she was ashore, Joe and Kizzi’s flirtations culminated in a kiss. Joe decided to confess what happened to Victoria, and V ultimately called the boatmance off — which made for an awkward work situation between Joe, V and Kizzi.
“I am noticing that Victoria’s giving me the cold shoulder,” Joe said in a confessional on the Jan. 12 episode, and then doubled down on continuing to flirt with Kizzi. “But, [V’s] the one who said we shouldn’t carry on. And I still want to have fun the rest of the season. There’s nothing wrong with me having a bit of fun. It’s just laughing and banter.”
Details on Nathan Gallagher, Joe Bradley and Gael Cameron’s previous Below Deck Med drama
When Season 9 deckhand Gael returned in Season 10 to fill in for a charter while V was off the yacht, she and Nathan found themselves in a familiar situation: watching Joe in a love triangle with two co-workers. During Season 9, Joe was caught up with stews Elena “Ellie” Dubaich and Bri Muller, and Gael had things to say about it.
“Joe is being a little bit of a dick,” she said at the time. “He is choosing what he wants, when he wants it, without considering how it affects the girls. It’s just not nice anymore, so I’m losing respect for Joe in that sense.”

Joe and Gael’s “beef,” as Nathan called it in Season 10, Episode 12, wasn’t improved by Gael’s knowledge of Joe’s second boat love triangle, and Joe admitted to The Daily Dish in an exclusive interview that no progress was made in repairing their relationship.
“So, me and Gael aren’t friends, and such is that,” Joe shared in Dec. 2025, and added that their prior post-filming “social media war” had “just spiraled into chaos.”
But with Joe’s friend Nathan welcoming a son, Kayden, with Gael in June 2025, Joe suggested that might push him to mend fences with Gael.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to make amends with the girl,” he told The Daily Dish. “I would love to throw any animosity or any melodrama in a bin and start from a fresh page, because there’s more important things in life, like the baby.”
Why Nathan Gallagher turned to Aesha Scott to vent about Joe’s love triangle
Along with Nathan and Gael, one other crew member has also witnessed both of Joe’s love triangles: chief stew Aesha Scott. That’s why Nathan also turned to Aesha to complain about the situation in the Jan. 12 episode.
“[Victoria] said they worded it that they had a drunken kiss,” Aesha told Nathan, who quickly shot that explanation down. “Well, that’s bulls—t, and I’m gonna f—king call it out if I see it. I can’t stand for it,” he replied.
Aesha remarked on how much Nathan’s maturity had changed between Below Deck Med Seasons 9 and 10. “Nathan is growing up, and it’s really beautiful to watch,” she said.
Nathan also recognized the change in himself, rhetorically asking in a confessional, “How the f—k have I become the mature, responsible adult of this group? How mad is that to say?”

Back in May 2024, Aesha admitted in an interview with The Daily Dish that Joe’s Season 9 love triangle heavily impacted her as a chief stew. “I think where I did really struggle — which you’ll see — was managing stews, my girls’ emotions,” she explained. “The stuff that stays in the crew mess was really hard to deal with. That was my biggest challenge of the season.”
Not wanting to repeat the same mistakes, viewers saw Aesha take a different approach in Season 10, and get directly involved after Kizzi inquired if V was “okay” post-kiss.
“She’s really angry, which I think is fair,” a brutally honest Aesha told Kizzi in the Jan. 12 episode. “You both said you don’t regret what you did. Which is really sh—tty.”
Aesha didn’t hold back her feelings to producers either. “They literally go behind V’s back, tongue each other, and then look at each other and go, ‘Oh it’s so strange, I don’t know why V’s so upset with us!’ Really??”
When Kizzi pushed back and argued, “But what can I do about that? I’ve done it,” Aesha bluntly replied, “You can be sorry.”
However, to producers, Kizzi held her stance. “I don’t know what else I can say. I don’t want to keep going over the same thing,” she said.
ICYMI, Captain Sandy Yawn gave her thoughts on Gael and Nathan’s post Season 10 relationship in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish.
