Nathan Gallagher of Below Deck Mediterranean is giving the sweetest updates on life as a new dad to his baby son, and the content is all too relatable.
The Irish deckhand welcomed his first child, Kayden Cameron-Gallagher, with Australian yachtie Gael Cameron only four weeks ago, and it’s been nonstop love and joy ever since. But, as is the case for any new parent, it’s also been a matter of keeping up with baby as life continues moving full steam ahead.
Although there may be little rest for the new parents, at least they can weather the bumps of parenthood with a good laugh, as seen in an Instagram Story posted by the new dad on July 28. The video showed Nathan and Gael taking advantage of the sunshine and enjoying an outdoor stroll with Kayden.
Nathan — who filmed the clip — sported a cool pair of shades for the occasion, while Gael trailed behind with the boy in a baby carrier at her chest. “[We] went for a family walk this morning, and Gael’s fallen behind,” Nathan told audiences as he shook his head and smiled. “Swear she just had a baby or something; It’s absolutely crazy.”
In Gael’s defense, she joked in return that she had “a weighted bag” to carry.
The struggle was real for Nathan elsewhere, as a couple of snaps showed the father attempting to carry out household chores with Kayden slung to his chest. In one selfie, Nathan — sporting a black beanie cap to match the baby carrier — smiled as Kayden slept away.
In another, Nathan captured his foot on the vacuum cleaner with the baby still attached to his body.
“Two things I thought I’d never hold in 2025,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. “A baby and a Hoover.”
Gael appreciated the sentiment and reposted the Story, adding her own reply: “It’s okay, he’s just there still figuring out how to use the vacuum.”

Nathan and Gael just celebrated a major milestone last week as Kayden turned 4 weeks old, and Gael said she wished to “stay in this bubble forever” with her baby boy.
“I accidentally blinked… and just like that, you’re one month old,” she captioned the video. “You are the best part of us. Made from love, wrapped in love, and forever loved. My perfect little boy.”
The doting parents have made the most as a family united, from sunset strolls along the Australian shoreline to cozy times with the sleeping infant.

Kayden’s entrance into the world came after Nathan and Gael met during Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean aboard the luxury yacht, Mustique. Their relationship was tested once filming wrapped and they returned to shore, partly due to their living on separate continents.
They decided to put their coupledom on pause, however, they rekindled their romance in September 2024 and made it Instagram official in a series of PDA-packed posts from their European travels.

They were later “beyond excited” to confirm rumors of a pregnancy exclusively to Bravo’s The Daily Dish in April, and welcomed Kayden on June 24, 2025, just days after Nathan’s birthday.
“Welcome to the world, my love,” Gael said when announcing Kayden’s birth.
