Below Deck Mediterranean’s Nathan Gallagher is giving fans a look at his new, close-shaven hairstyle as well as the latest update on his and Gael Cameron’s infant son, Kayden Cameron-Gallagher.
“POV: You know you’re a dad when you start cutting your own hair hahaha,” he wrote over the video. “Think I’ve unlocked a new hobby, if I’m honest.” He offered more about the new ’do when speaking directly to his audience.
“I gave myself a haircut, right? And, if I’m being honest, totally honest, I genuinely don’t think it looks that bad,” Nathan continued in the video. “Like, and those few [of] yous [who are] barbers and hairdressers, and you’ll say, ‘Oh, oh my, God, dude! Your fade! It’s way too high!’ But, f–k off,” Nathan laughed. “Because it’s my first time, and I think it looks alright, what do you reckon? Like, a solid four out of 10, I reckon.”
The Sydney-based Irishman also recently enjoyed some “daddy and son time after a trip from Gold Coast [to] Sydney” along Australia’s southeastern coast, sharing an Instagram Story with Kayden in a baby carrier against his dad’s chest.
In the selfie, the globe-trotting bosun wore his sunnies and earbuds as he strolled down the sidewalk, the baby boy resting cozily in baby blue with his eyes closed.
Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron to celebrate first Christmas with son
Nathan and his Australian live-in girlfriend recently took Kayden to the 2025 Martin Place Christmas Tree in Sydney, a tree-lighting spectacle to kick off Kayden’s very first Christmas. To sum it up in a Nov. 29 Instagram post featuring Kayden at the festive event, “Tis the most exciting Christmas yet,” Gael stated.

Bravolebs far and wide jumped in the comment section in awe of Kayden’s first. Below Deck Mediterranean alum Hannah Ferrier said, “Awwwwww,” adding a few sparkling heart emojis, “And they keep getting better, lovely.” At the same time, Captain Sandy Yawn commented, “Beautiful,” next to a red heart.

Kicking off the holidays down under comes soon after the couple of one year chose Sydney — Gael’s hometown — as the place they wanted to raise Kayden. Things were still up in the air when Nathan appeared on the Oct. 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and said, “We’re going to explore the world together with our new best friend, so we don’t know yet.”

The yachties met while filming Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean, and although their chemistry was undeniable, things fizzled once they tried to make a go of it back on land. At the time, Gael said, “[Nathan] just has a lot of emotional maturing to do,” and the distance between Ireland and Australia really hindered a solid relationship. For his part, Nathan said, “I just started second-guessing everything.”
Although the couple broke up weeks after filming, things were back on in September 2024. About nine months later, they welcomed their baby boy.
