A 19-year-old New Mexico man was charged this week with making violent threats against Jews, Black people, and liberals.
The US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico said that Jace Allen made a series of racist and violent threats on social media under the alias “Jebron Lames,” an obvious play on the name of NBA star Lebron James. The documents say Allen said he intended to commit mass murder.
In addition to making threats against minorities and to shoot up unspecified locations, Allen named an Ohio city council member, telling the official, “You’re going to be the first to die.”
The messages began shortly after the murder of MAGA activist Charlie Kirk in Utah on Wednesday, Source NM reported, and included at least one saying, “I will harm anyone who has something bad to say about Charlie.”
The FBI in Toledo, Ohio, tracked the messages to a cell phone and a home in Jamestown, a tiny town near Gallup in western New Mexico. When he was interviewed on Thursday, court document say, Allen reportedly told investigators he is a Neo-Nazi who hates minorities, especially Jews, and said he wanted to help launch a civil war with online terror.
Allen admitted making the violent threats but said he didn’t own a firearm. A search of his phone turned up videos of him firing a rifle and a handgun last month, however.
Allen is charged with transmitting communications containing a threat to injure another person and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
