Obituary | Hayden James Hettich of Bismarck, North Dakota

July 19, 2022 – March 25, 2024

Mass of Christian Burial for Hayden James Hettich, 1 ½ year old son of Patrick and Justice Hettich, of Bismarck will be at 11 AM, Monday, April 1, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mobridge. There will be a prayer service at 5 PM, Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Hayden passed away at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Hayden James Hettich was born July 19, 2022, in Bismarck, ND. Hayden was a son to Justice and Patrick Hettich (Bismarck). He is the baby brother of Preston (9) and Paislee (8) of Mobridge, and Grayson Hettich (4) of Bismarck. 

Hayden enjoyed being constantly on the go and running wild. If there was an open snack, you’d bet he’d snatch it up and eat it. He gave the best kisses and hugs. He was our brute baby, always had his little dukes up and was ready for the next adventure. He could hurt anyone but lord if he got hurt-he was all tears and needed mommas snuggles. Hayden was one of a kind. We will all miss his big smile, his bright blue eyes, and his stubborn attitude.

 Grateful for having shared Hayden’s life are his parents, brothers, and sister. His grandparents Mike and Trina Mardian (Mobridge), Paul and Marjorie Keller (Mobridge), Tracey Long (Timberlake), Judy Mardian (Aberdeen), and Shirley Poitra (Kenel). Four aunties: Lakesha Hettich (Timberlake), Sydney Bailey (Teagen) Bismarck, Katie McLaughlin (Chanc) Bismarck, Sequoia Taken Alive (Timberlake). Three uncles: Wyatt Hettich (Timberlake), Ricky Hettich (Timberlake), Jordyn Keller (Mobridge) four cousins: Aliyana and Phoenix Fischer (Sydney), Ava Hettich (Lakesha), Skylar Keller (Jordyn), Torin Fredrickson (Katie). Hayden had a few special uncles and aunties in his life: Lance and Kalib Keller (McLaughlin), Breau and Amy Keller (Wichita, Kansas), Sean and Katie Keller (Mobridge), Heather and Josh Stoick (Mobridge), Megan and Randy Schott (Bozeman, Montana), Regan, Ava, and Corbin Stoick (Mobridge), Melvin Miner (Mandi), Jessie Talley (Dusty), Brenden Harrison (Jestice), Ray Talley (Jacob), and Patrick’s paternal family (Kenel), Maternal Family (Bullhead/McLaughlin). Hayden had many more friends and family that held a special place in his heart. 

Hayden is preceded in death by: Irma and Ron Hettich (McLaughlin), Theresa Taken Alive (Bullhead), Jerry Mardian (Aberdeen), and Sandy Walking Elk (Kenel).
