Joseph Antelope, 62, of Ft. Yates passed away Wednesday February 5, 2025, at Sunset Drive-A Prospera Community in Mandan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fort Yates, ND. Interment under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, will follow the services at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Yates.
Joseph Ambrose Antelope was born August 9, 1962, in Ft, Yates, North Dakota to Ambrose Antelope and Seraphine Agard. Joseph went to elementary school in Ft. Yates and graduated from Ft. Yates High School in 1981. He then attended Standing Rock College.
Joseph had a great sense of humor and loved to be around family and friends. Joe also loved animals as well as hunting as a boy and teen. He loved to fish with his brother Lyle. He liked to tell stories of his childhood and growing up.
Joseph is survived by his brothers, David Antelope of McLaughlin, Myron Scott Noisy Hawk, McLaughlin and Arthur Antelope of Yankton, South Dakota, his sisters, Kathalene Antelope, McLaughlin, Marlene Antelope of Marion, North Dakota, Darlene Antelope, Marion, North Dakota, Marian Antelope, Valene Antelope, Karen Antelope, Ft. Yates, North Dakota.
Joseph is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ambrose and Seraphine Agard. Wife, Fawn Two Horses, His sister Cheryl Ann Crow Necklace. His brothers, Aaron Antelope, Victor Brave Thunder, Lyle Antelope, and Ronald Noisy Hawk SR. Niece Jera Antelope. Nephews, Juan White Eagle, Kyle Antelope, Julius Antelope, Christopher Grooms SR, and Tristin A-S Antelope.
