Oklahoma man gets 3 consecutive life sentences for 2024 killing spree

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. (TCN) — An Oklahoma man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for three homicides in 2024.

In a public announcement Nov. 10, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) said Richard Dewayne Chambers, 42, was sentenced Nov. 7 to three consecutive sentences of life without the possibility of parole in connection with a triple homicide, plus seven years on the remaining counts.

On Dec. 17, 2024, deputies responding to a home in Allen, Oklahoma, discovered Robert Peliti Sr., 84, and Jackie Peliti, 70, severely injured. Jackie Peliti was pronounced dead at the scene and Robert Peliti died after being transported to a hospital, the announcement said.

After identifying Chambers as a suspect, an investigation connected him to the homicide of 62-year-old Annie Brown in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Brown had been found dead with a gunshot wound, KTUL reports.

Chambers was arrested Dec. 18, 2024, and booked into the Pontotoc County Jail on multiple murder charges, the announcement said.

Chambers had allegedly stolen firearms along with Brown’s vehicle before driving to Allen and killing the Peliti couple, KXII reported at the time of the homicides.

The OSBI, several police departments and sheriff’s offices, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation collaborated on the investigation, the announcement said.
