Olivia Flowers has called off her wedding to fiancé Alex Williams, the Southern Charm alum announced on Oct. 14.
“After much thought and many heartfelt conversations, Olivia and her fiancé Alex have made the difficult decision not to move forward with their wedding,” read a statement from Olivia’s rep that she re-posted on Instagram. “This was not a decision made lightly, but one grounded in deep mutual respect and love for one another.”
Olivia’s statement continued, “While this isn’t the path they originally envisioned, they are profoundly grateful for the love and support of their friends and family. Alex and Olivia remain committed to each other with a renewed sense of clarity, strength and appreciation for honoring one’s heart.”
As the post concluded, “She is very appreciative of your grace and kindness as they move through this transition together.”
Olivia Flowers gave wedding updates prior to ending her engagement to Alex Williams
Olivia had offered some major wedding planning updates in recent months — including which Southern Charm-ers she planned on inviting to the nuptials.
In a May 2025 interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, she revealed that Venita Aspen and Leva Bonaparte, along with Leva’s husband, Lamar Bonaparte, were on the guest list for the celebration that they had decided to host in Texas (where Alex was once based and where Olivia grew up).
“Leva and Lamar, they’re close family friends, and I would love to have them there,” she explained. “I think we just want to keep it to the close-knit people…[and] Venita. That would be it.”

Oliva noted that she was “deciding between two venues,” at the time, but was still planning a November 2025 wedding ceremony.
“The reception will take place on a beautiful golf course,” she had previously shared with The Knot during a dress shopping appointment in April. “I think Alex is going to cry when he sees me. … He’s the sensitive one in the relationship.”

Olivia met Alex at a wedding in 2023, prior to him proposing in September 2024 in front of her longtime friends and her parents, Garry and Robin Flowers, in New York City.
“Olivia has such an incredible group of friends, from elementary school through to college, and she’s very close with her parents, so I knew involving them somehow would mean a lot to her,” Alex told People in October 2024. “I wanted her to feel all the love and the excitement in the world from the surprise of her loved ones. Her mom Robin had the idea to propose while the four of us would be in New York together, for the Project Lyme Gala Olivia was speaking at.”

Alex further explained that he had asked Olivia’s parents for her hand in marriage, prior to popping the question at NYC’s JW Marriott Essex House.
For his proposal, Alex picked out a four-carat diamond ring from Nicole Rose Jewelry. The main diamond sits on an 18k yellow gold band that is “classic, simple and elegant.”
