In the 100 meters at the 2016 American Olympic Trials, Bowie came in third with a timing of 10.779. With a time of 10.83 seconds, Bowie placed second in the 100-meter dash at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

She then ran the 200 meters in 22.15 seconds to enter third place. She also won a gold medal for her 4100 m relay team.
