Pennsylvania Woman Found Guilty in Murders of Her Father, His Longtime Girlfriend – Crime Online

A Pennsylvania woman has been found guilty in the shooting and stabbng deaths of her father and his girlfriend in 2021 in New Jersey.

Sherry Lee Heffernan, 57, told a court in Pennsylvania in 2021 that she was “being framed” for the murders of 87-year-old John “Jack” Enders and 75-year-old Francoise “Frenchie” Pitoy, The Associated Press reported.

She faces life in prison at her sentencing, scheduled for May 10.

Authorities found the bodies at Enders’ Surf City home in the fall of 2021. Both had been shot in the jaw and stabbed dozens of times.

Prosecutors said Heffernan was angry that she had been cut out of Enders’ will. She drove to the waterfront home on Long Beach Island on the night of September 29, 2021, prosecutors said, citing evidence that tracked her RV and cell phone along the route. Additionally, they found three bloody footprints in the house they said belonged to her.

Defense attorneys said there was no evidence Heffernan was driving the RV and said person seen climbing a fence at the home wasn’t her.

Pitoy’s daughters, Valerie Lewis Evans and Sandrine Lewis, and Enders’ grandson, Andrew Vero, said they were pleased with the verdict.

“It’s pure relief, and we can move on now,″ Vero said.
