THE DALLES, Ore. (TCN) — Investigators recently identified a person of interest after finding the remains of a missing woman inside a storage locker.
According to The Dalles Police Department, on July 29, officers responded to a storage unit and called in other law enforcement agencies, including the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, who assisted in opening a storage box and discovered human remains. The Oregon Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and identified the victim as 39-year-old He “Kiki” Meihong.
Meihong was reportedly last seen in Glenwood, Washington, on May 25, 2024. In a missing person poster, police said her main home was in Montana, but she was staying with her fiancé, who claimed he dropped her off to go fishing with friends near Underwood, Washington.
Investigators identified 59-year-old Richard “Mike” Robinson as a person of interest in the case. Authorities arrested Robinson on Aug. 25 on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail and will be extradited to Oregon.
