Phaedra Parks has officially made her The Real Housewives of Atlanta return in Season 16, and she’s wasting no time getting the rest of the cast up to speed on her unique — and thriving — career.Â
On Season 16, Episode 13, which aired on June 1, Phaedra, who is a mortician, was in the car with Shamea Morton, Kelli Ferrell, and Cynthia Bailey, when she shared she was messaging “the guy that taught me how to embalm.”Â
Immediately, Shamea wanted to know more.Â
“Can you please let me come with you one day?” she asked. “I wanna see how they do it.” However, Phaedra warned, “It’s a lot of blood and brains.”
In a confessional Phaedra added, “The funeral business is going excellent,” and went on to answer more of the ladies’ questions in the car.Â
In a May 2025 interview with The Daily Dish, Phaedra, who is also an attorney and business owner, shared more details on her career and what’s next.Â
Phaedra Parks reveals she wants to become a florist
When it comes to her many career interests, Phaedra notes, “Everything’s going good.”
“You know, I like to do things that complement my other jobs,” Phaedra explained to The Daily Dish, “And I love flowers,” which is why she “make[s] arrangements” in her spare time.
Plus, not only does her interest in “fresh flowers” give her a creative outlet, but getting into floral arranging “really complements the funeral home business” as well.
So could that be the next way she chooses to diversify her portfolio? Maybe! “I’m always like, Wow, I should get into floral design and maybe become a florist, because it could complement the funeral home,” Phaedra mused, “You know, people order flowers for funerals and I could supply funerals and I could supply flowers to the funeral homes.”
Having said that, she’s happy for floral arranging to remain a hobby for now.
“I just love [it],” Phaedra told The Daily Dish, “It’s so peaceful being creative.”
In addition to considering adding floral design to her portfolio, Phaedra revealed she was “bitten by the gaming bug” after her appearance on The Traitors Season 2, and still enjoys traveling to new locales with Porsha Williams.
