The drama between Phaedra Parks and Drew Sidora kicked up even before cameras started rolling on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17. In fact, Phaedra and Drew’s first unseen conversation took place just minutes after the Season 16 reunion wrapped filming.
The subject arose during RHOA‘s Season 17 premiere as Shamea Morton Mwangi questioned Drew’s loyalty to Angela Oakley. According to Shamea, Drew was being “fake” because she had privately admitted to Phaedra that she didn’t “even believe” Angela amid last year’s conflict.
That’s when Phaedra spoke up and began to spill the tea. “Long story short, [Drew] called me. I said, ‘The last time you and me talked was at the reunion,” she recapped for the ladies, before elaborating in a confessional.

“After the reunion, Drew came into my dressing room,” Phaedra recalled to a producer. “She said, ‘Hey, I would love to get to know you.’ And I said, ‘Well, I don’t really want to get to know people who have tried to frame me.’ And that’s when she said she didn’t really agree with all of the evidence that Angela presented.”
ICYMI: Phaedra was referring to Angela’s bombshell claim in the Season 16 finale that Phaedra had allegedly orchestrated a scheme involving a man named Marcus showing up at a cast event to publicly accuse her husband, NBA vet Charles Oakley, of having an affair. Drew, meanwhile, had gone with Angela to meet with Marcus and subsequently helped her coordinate his arrival in the finale when he implicated Phaedra as the alleged mastermind.
She continued, “But at the same time, I’m like, well, if you didn’t agree with it, why did you go along with it? But the girls do strange things for the change, honey.”

Even as Phaedra was speaking on the matter during Porsha Williams’ dinner party, Drew interjected and fully owned up to saying that Angela’s “receipts weren’t receipt-ing.” She added, however, that nothing Shamea and Phaedra were revealing was news to Angela.
“Angela knows who I am,” Drew declared. “Everything that is being said, I’ve already said to Angela. So, there are no secrets here.”
Angela, for her part, insisted that she didn’t “care about” whatever Drew said to Phaedra. “What I’m talking about is my husband,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Angela also brought up another subject that they’d discussed at the previous reunion, mentioning the drama involving one of Phaedra’s friends who allegedly approached her during an Atlanta Hawks game and introduced herself as “the one with the hands.”
“I had those tapes run, and that person did not come to you,” Phaedra clapped back. “And I’m willing to show you the tapes.”
When a producer asked Phaedra if she actually had security footage from the Hawks game in her possession to show Angela, she replied, “So… No, I didn’t look at the tape, but I asked for the tapes to be reviewed. Yeah.”
Where Phaedra Parks stands with the RHOA cast heading into Season 17
It should come as little surprise, then, how Phaedra characterized her standing among her castmates while kicking off Season 17.
“I think I’m in a good place with everyone in the group besides Angela because she was all gung-ho that I had something to do with George Jefferson, who’s friends with Junebug, who I gave the money to that made me the Godfather of Atlanta and spearheaded toast-gate,” Phaedra told a producer. “Now, everybody knows, honey, I’ve got several jobs. But running around, meeting people at the Lenox Mall is definitely not one of them.”
Phaedra did not name Drew as someone she was at odds with heading into Season 17, but she did have a few things to say about her bringing a “virtual date,” Blakk, to Porsha’s dinner.
“The most entertaining guest has to be Blakk sitting on this FaceTime call for over three hours with a big bright smile,” she quipped. “I’m not sure if he doesn’t use the bathroom or if he has a colostomy bag. I don’t know what’s going on. He might be embalmed, for all I know.”
