A woman in Southern California is accused of targeting elderly men, claiming to be their girlfriend or companion, and then committing burglaries at their homes.
Adva Lavie, 28, “has been involved in a series of residential burglaries” throughout the Los Angeles area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department wrote in an online announcement. She has allegedly used social media dating platforms to find “elderly men” before homing in on their possessions.
At least 10 men in Malibu and Los Angeles County are believed to have been victimized, and the sheriff’s department statement was posted with the express purpose of finding “similar victims.”

Lavie is apparently known for going by the aliases Mia Ventura, Shoshana, and Shana. According to local reporting, she has appeared in Playboy and Penthouse magazines. She also claims to be the first ever top Israeli OnlyFans model, per The CW affiliate KTLA.
The suspect is listed as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing roughly 105 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. She is known for driving a black Porsche SUV and white Mercedes-Benz sedan, authorities said.
As of Wednesday evening, Lavie was not in custody. Los Angeles County jail records show that she was arrested in May and charged with a felony before bonding out, though whether that case has any relation to the sheriff’s department’s recent announcement remains unclear.
Instances of women finding men and then burglarizing their homes are not entirely uncommon, especially in wealthy areas such as Los Angeles and Miami. Authorities warn potential victims to never send a stranger money before meeting and to never invite a stranger back to their home.
Michael Sartain, a podcast host, told KTLA that Lavie has been known for making appearances at charity events in Los Angeles and Las Vegas clubs over the years, and she would allegedly threaten victims if they ever caught her stealing.
The outlet spoke with at least two other people who claimed to have been victimized by Lavie.
Lavie reportedly spoke to The Daily Mail about the allegations, apparently claiming she was the target of a conspiracy.
“I think when you probably hang out with someone really powerful and someone really connected, if you p— them off, it’s problematic because they can really f— you over,” she said.
Anyone with information about Lavie and any alleged crimes is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
