Police Seek Information on Vehicle of Interest, Search Continues for Missing Wisconsin Tot – Crime Online

Two Rivers police in Wisconsin are seeking information on a vehicle of interest, in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old Elijah Vue.

According to the Two Rivers Police Department, law enforcement identified a 1997 four-door beige Nissan Altima as a car of interest in the case. They said the vehicle, which has a Wisconsin license plate starting with “A” and ending with “O,” is currently in their possession.

No additional details about the vehicle or its owner have been provided.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Elijah was last seen on February 20 at an apartment in the 3900 block of Mishicot Road. His caregiver and mother’s former boyfriend, Jesse Vang, has since been arrested on child neglect charges.

Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, was also arrested and charged with being a party to child neglect. Vang said Baur allowed Elijah to stay with him for several weeks, starting on February 12, for reported behavioral issues.

A criminal complaint stated that Vang reported the child missing, claiming that he brought Elijah into a bedroom with him at around 8 a.m., and ordered him to stand next to the bed and pray. Vang claimed he fell asleep and when woke up three hours later, the child was gone.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook update on Monday evening, police asked homeowners and businesses to examine surveillance footage captured between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on February 19.

“We are asking the public beyond the greater Two Rivers area and adjacent counties to review their videos as well,” TRPD said.
