The Real Housewives of Rhode Island‘s inaugural cast wastes no time diving into drama in a sneak peek at the new series.
In the above clip from the RHORI premiere (set to air on Thursday, April 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), several of the ladies — including Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Ashley Iaconetti, and Jo-Ellen Tiberi — gather for a fancy beach picnic when a game of “Never Have I Ever” takes a shady turn.
Following some more standard prompts, Rosie chimes in, “Here’s one: Never have I ever been a polygamist,” before clarifying that she means, “if you have a boyfriend here and then you have a boyfriend somewhere else.”

Her motives come into sharper focus when she accuses Kelsey Swanson, who is not present, of being in a relationship with a man who also has “a girlfriend in Florida.”
When Jo-Ellen replies that she “should ask” Kelsey about the “many rumors” she referenced if she wants intel, Rosie says, “Yeah, I would love to. I’m very confused by it.”

After Jo-Ellen points out that that there are “a lot of rumors about everybody,” she unpacks her beef with Rosie in a confessional.
“This is what bothers me about Rosie: She’s constantly talking s–t,” she tells a producer, explaining that her castmate always has an “excuse” for her behavior.
As the “polygamist” discussion continues, Rosie appears to get a new piece of info from Alicia that she interprets to mean that Kelsey also has more than one boyfriend. Again, Jo-Ellen instructs her to ask Kelsey herself, if she has questions, before telling Rosie directly, “You constantly talk s–t, and I don’t love it.”
Rosie, meanwhile, defends herself in a confessional: “I’m a very nosy person, Nosy Rosie. I have questions. I have follow-up questions. What do you expect from me? I used to be a reporter.”

Back on the beach, Rosie calls out Jo-Ellen for “talking s–t” about her as well, which the latter denies. Â
“And I still invited you to my picnic here today, to be nice to you,” Rosie adds. “When we went to your house, you talked s–t about me to Kelsey. Then, you were surprised that I sat there quiet. I heard you talking s–t about the wine that I brought.”
Jo-Ellen’s response? “I mean, your wine was very, very cheap.”
When Rosie also brings up to Jo-Ellen, “You said I was evil and that even children wouldn’t like me,” she claps back, “I don’t think I said that to your face, but I do feel that way.”
How the “polygamist” rumors about Kelsey Swanson factor into RHORI Season 1
You’ll have to tune in to RHORI to get all the details on Kelsey’s relationship(s), but according to her Season 1 bio, viewers can expect to see the beauty queen “playing house in a castle owned by her wealthy boyfriend,” while facing a major dilemma in her personal life.
As her bio further teases, “Now at a crossroads, Kelsey must decide between the comfort of her gilded arrangement and a future on her own terms.”
And, yes, you can certainly expect Kelsey to address Rosie’s “polygamist” accusations to her face.
In the RHORI trailer, Rosie references Kelsey’s “two boyfriends,” ahead of a heated face-off. After she fumes that Kelsey is “literally f–kin’ no one” and is “not welcome” in her home, she demands that she “get the f–k out.”
Elsewhere, despite Jo-Ellen’s seeming defense of Kelsey at the aforementioned beach picnic, the two also navigate some relationship-adjacent drama in their friendship. The supertease shows Kelsey bringing up that Jo-Ellen “had sex with [her] ex,” before the latter is seen warning her, “You f–k with my husband, with my kids, with my job, I’m gonna ruin your f–kin’ life.”
