Rachel Zoe is back on Bravo, but she’s in a very different place in her life compared to her The Rachel Zoe Project days. As she joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 amid her divorce from Rodger Berman, she candidly shared what went wrong in her marriage.
“There’s a lot of reasons that our relationship was strained,” she admitted in the Dec. 4 episode. “In hindsight, if I had to say a great regret — greatest regret — would probably be working together.”
Rachel, who is a celebrity stylist and entrepreneur, created the Rachel Zoe brand with her estranged husband, and they both sit on the board of Rachel Zoe Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. Roger appeared with his then-wife on The Rachel Zoe Project for its full five-season run from 2008 to 2013. The two share sons, 14-year-old Skyler and 11-year-old Kaius.
“Lines got crossed,” Rachel told the producers. “The person that I was with my whole adult life was, in many ways, unrecognizable.” She teared up as she admitted, “Ultimately, that person didn’t feel right around me or around my kids.”
“We were very much The Notebook couple,” she shared. “We were together for 18 years before any kids. And then I think after we had kids, I think it changes.”
Rachel also opened up about the split to Kathy Hilton. “At the end of the day, I think we’ve outgrown each other,” she said. “We became very different people.”

After the separation, “it was brutal,” Rachel admitted. But, there’s also been a positive change. “Now, I don’t come home to an empty house sad. I actually come home to an empty house smiling, because it’s very peaceful and it’s mine,” she said. “Having my mind and my nervous system in a calm space has been immeasurable and enjoyable.”

As producers flashed headlines about her ex dating another woman, Rachel said: “Rodger has had the same girl for a year… I’ll let you do the math.”
In November 2025, Rachel told People that she is dating as well.
“It’s incredibly fun,” she told the publication. “To be honest, that wasn’t hard for me to get into. It really wasn’t. I think this era for me is just freedom. Anyone who comes into my life or our lives is only going to be someone that adds value in terms of making me laugh, making me smile, and really just making sense. It’ll have to feel organic and natural to who I am now.”

Skyler and Kaius know their father is dating someone, Rachel said during the Dec. 4 episode. “For me, the only thing that matters in this entire thing is that my kids are great. And if my kids are great, all is fine,” she shared in her confessional.
“The kids were with Rodger for like three days, and it was, you know…” Rachel trailed off. “I’m trying to look at him as a friend, and I’m not there yet.”

She continued, “The boys’ relationship with Roger, I would say, it’s a little tricky. I think that they wonder why he sometimes does or says things he does. Why he acts the way he does… Why there is time spent with his girlfriend versus his kids.”
Still, Rachel knows the divorce ultimately is what’s best for her kids.
“Listen, I don’t think anyone should stay together that isn’t happy,” she shared during a party at Kyle Richards’ home. “Kids want parents that love them. Not parents that don’t love each other. They can feel it.”
