Real Madrid are willing to offer Jude Bellingham a more lucrative wage packet to join the Spanish giants in 2024, with Los Blancos thought to be unwilling to make a big-money move this summer.Â
Bellingham remains a target for Real but the club remained unconvinced of a need to reduce the game time of either Luka Modric or Toni Kroos in the side.Â
The England star is thought to be one of the most in-demand players in Europe, with a raft of clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United keen on his services.Â
Real have also reportedly highlighted Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes as an alternative to the 19-year-old, with the Brazilian thought to be available for a far lower price than Bellingham. Â
Although Liverpool have long been linked with a swoop for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, it would appear that Los Blancos are leading the race.Â
Real Madrid may wait until 2024 to make a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham
Los Blancos are reportedly unwilling to make a big-money move with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos still performingÂ
Their cause seems to have been handed a boost with Liverpool’s poor form in 2022-23 seeing them seemingly become an ever more unappealing prospect for a player intent on playing in the Champions League.Â
The Spanish giants, according to Diario AS, are not thought to be keen on forking out a hefty sum this summer, with many predicting that a move for Bellingham will result in a record-breaking bid.Â
Modric, 37, and Kroos, 33, are approaching the twilight of their careers, but remain fixtures in Real Madrid’s Champions League-winning squad. Â
However, the report claims that Carlo Ancelotti’s side would be willing to offer him a more financially lucrative wage if he should decide to remain in the Bundesliga for a year longer.Â
And the player himself has claimed that he is not actively looking to move away from the German side, who have ‘done loads’ for Bellingham.Â
‘The club have done loads for me and made me feel very welcome since I first came and gave me the opportunities to develop even further,’ He said ahead of a Champions League clash between Dortmund and Man City.
‘To look past that and into the future would be disrespectful. It’s not something I am thinking about, to be honest.’
Liverpool’s pursuit had appeared to be the strongest for a midfielder that Jurgen Klopp so desperately needs in his pursuit to freshen up an ailing Reds squad.Â

Kroos has long been a partner of the Croatian legend for Los Blancos but is reaching the twilight of his career
Bellingham was often pictured in the company of Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold while away on England duty at the World Cup in Qatar – where he excelled for his country.Â
But the Reds now run the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League, which could prove costly in their hunt for the 19-year-old’s signature, however, Klopp remains a fan of the youngster
‘Bellingham is just exceptional, he said. ‘He plays so maturely, like a 28-year-old. Everybody already knew his skills, but I have no idea what that means for the money side of it. He’s very good, exceptional. He had an incredible World Cup.’
Bellingham is currently under contract at the German side – who remain optimistic of tying him down to a longer deal – until 2025, meaning any pursuit in 2024 could see him leave for a much reduced fee. Â
