Chad Ollinger, a former reality star accused of killing his cellmate in Nevada, reportedly claimed he had superpowers that allowed him to read people’s minds.
Ollinger, 41, best known for his role on Discovery’s “Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch,” is accused of killing cellmate Christopher Kelly, 42, on December 26, according to 3 News.
After the incident, Ollinger allegedly told investigators he had supernatural abilities that alerted him to pedophiles. Police said there is currently no proof of that that Kelly had been a child predator.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Ollinger was charged with open murder after authorities at the Clark County Detention Center found Kelly “lying motionless inside a cell,” according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
“Officers made entry and observed the inmate was suffering from apparent blunt force injuries,” a Vegas police press release stated.
Investigators later discovered that Ollinger and a cellmate got into an altercation.
Ollinger confessed to choking Kelly and hitting his head against a metal bed frame post. He then put a blanket over Kelly and left his body on the bottom bunk, 8 News Now reports.
Police said Ollinger stated, “I wanted to feel his [expletive] piece of shit dead body beneath me.”
“If I know something about somebody that’s bad, I take care of it.”
Ollinger allegedly said the killing had “necessary” and told authorities, “good luck cracking the case,” as they took photographs of Kelly’s injuries.
At the time of Kelly’s murder, Ollinger had been at the Clark County Detention Center for an October 2025 arrest on a contempt of court charge. He remained in jail after it was discovered he had been wanted on a fugitive from another state charge.
Ollinger’s competency hearing is scheduled for January 21.
