As The Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast answers burning questions about their personal lives, Rosie DiMare takes the opportunity to set the record straight on rumors that she “had an affair with a basketball coach.”
In a new preview for RHORI Season 1, Episode 2 (airing Sunday, April 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo), the ladies gather at a local winery where Kelsey Swanson leads a group activity. “If you have questions, comments, concerns, something you’ve heard about any one of us, you’re gonna put it in the envelope and you’re gonna write the person that it goes to,” she explains. “And we’re all gonna read our own box. Everything is anonymous.”
After Ashley Iaconetti reveals to the group when she lost her virginity, Alicia Carmody clears the air on whether or not she ever hooked up with Jo-Ellen Tiberi’s husband, Gary Tiberi, whom she’s known since childhood. Finally, it’s Rosie’s turn to address speculation about her own love life.

“Oh, this is a good one,” Rosie says, before reading aloud, “Did you have sex with the coach?”
After Jo-Ellen cops to writing the question, Rosie answers, “I think that’s a big rumor about me. I’ve never even met him. No.”
When Liz McGraw asks about the source of the speculation, Kelsey chimes in, “I heard years ago that the coach was hooking up with a reporter.” Rosie, for her part, responds, “He probably was hooking up with a reporter, but I wasn’t a reporter.”
In a confessional, Rosie adds, “I never had an affair with a basketball coach. I’ve never even met him, OK? Don’t believe everything you see on reddit. I mean, [my husband] Rich is barely my type. You think I’m gonna date, like, an old man basketball coach? Give me a break.”
What’s ahead for Rosie DiMare on RHORI Season 1
As viewers learned from the RHORI premiere, Rosie is not one to shy away from drama or asking uncomfortable questions, as was the case when she questioned Kelsey’s so-called “polygamous” relationship. According to Rosie’s official Season 1 bio, there’s plenty more to come, too.
“Former Rhode Island television news anchor Rosie DiMare and her husband, Rich, are leveling up, trading their cozy over-the-garage apartment for a sprawling dream home,” her bio previewed. “As Rosie focuses on growing her local lifestyle program, she also faces challenges within her inner circle, leaving her to reassess loyalties and where she truly fits in with this evolving, close-knit group.”

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Dish, Rosie offered more intel on what fans have to look forward to on RHORI.
“Rhode Island is one of the most beautiful places — especially in the summer — but the people here are crazy,” she teased. “I mean, I grew up like ten minutes from the border, and I even lived in Providence as a little kid, but I spent most of my time in Massachusetts growing up, and you would think that I’m from another planet. Like, ‘Welcome to Rhode Island, bitch’ will be something you hear on the show, as if I just moved here when I’ve been here for 10 years and I grew up 10 minutes from the border.”
What else to expect from RHORI Season 1, Episode 2
After premiering on a special night, RHORI moves to its regular Sunday timeslot for Episode 2, titled “Ocean State of Affairs,” on April 5.
According to the episode’s official synopsis, “Ashley opens up about the stress Jared is under due to the demands of their coffee shop. Rulla accuses Jo-Ellen of spreading gossip about an alleged affair. Kelsey invites all the girls to the Newport Winery for wine tasting and rumor squashing.”
