A woman is wanted by Pennsylvania authorities for allegedly punching another woman in the face in a violent road rage attack.

Imeera Burnett, 21, faces an assault charge, according to Delaware County, Pennsylvania, court records. The underlying incident occurred on Monday.

Motorists were driving in Upper Darby Township on Monday evening – reportedly across from the 69th Street Transit Center – when a “road rage assault” occurred, the Upper Darby Police Department announced on Wednesday in a plea to the public for help finding Burnett.

The alleged victim was driving when a vehicle cut in front of her, and she honked her horn, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt told Philadelphia-based ABC affiliate WPVI.

This vehicle – a Dodge Charger – was allegedly driven by Burnett, and she is said to have pulled over following the sound of the horn.

“She got out of the driver”s side, walked up to the victim’s window, and punched her in the side of the face,” Bernhardt continued, saying the suspect had to be pulled back into her car by a fellow passenger. The car drove off, but not before the other driver took a photo of the suspect’s license plate.

“Turn yourself in,” Bernhardt demanded of Burnett. “Your emotions got the best of you, and now you’re going to have to answer to the charges of assaulting another person.”

The woman who was allegedly punched “sustained a facial injury,” police said. However, her injuries were not severe, the TV station reported.

An individual with the same name and birth date as Burnett appears in the Pennsylvania court system as having a criminal history including charges of theft, resisting arrest, and other allegations of simple assault.
