A 60-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman in Florida were arrested last week after they were allegedly caught having sex “fully nude on top of each other” in front of a group of people — including children — on a causeway.
Robert B. Clarke and Sara Fazekas, who allegedly told police it “was always a dream” of hers to have sex on the raised roadway, were taken into custody on Friday evening and charged in connection with the alleged lustful incident, court records show.
Clarke was charged with one count of lewd or lascivious exhibition, a second-degree felony. Fazekas was charged with one count of exposure of sexual organs, a misdemeanor, and one count of possession of clonazepam, a highly addictive prescription drug used to treat panic attacks.
According to a probable cause affidavit for Clarke, he is accused of intentionally masturbating and exposing his genitals by “having fully nude sexual intercourse” in the presence of two children, ages 9 and 15.
Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 10 responded to “multiple calls” about Clarke and Fazekas allegedly having intercourse “on the side of the Dunedin Causeway.” Once there, deputies said they found Clarke “laying on his back with no clothes around him and his penis fully exposed.”
“After being taken into custody and asked about the incident, the defendant showed zero remorse that multiple juveniles had witnessed this act,” deputies wrote in the affidavit. “He stated that the children should be at home and not on the causeway.”
When asked about what they had seen, one of the victim’s parents told deputies that what they saw was “Crack to sack going to town.”
Clarke’s affidavit also noted he was a sex offender as an aggravating factor.
The affidavit for Fazekas reiterates that multiple witnesses, “to include two minors,” called 911 to report seeing Clarke and Fazekas engaged in intercourse. Deputies wrote that when they arrived, they found “the defendant and co-defendant were fully nude on top of one another.”
“When taking the defendant into custody, she stated this ‘was always a dream of mine,’ referring to having sexual intercourse on the causeway,” the affidavit states.
Clarke and Fazekas were booked into the Pinellas County Detention Center. She was released on Saturday after posting $2,150 bond. He was released Monday after posting a surety bond of $50,000 on the condition that he have no unsupervised contact with minors.
According to a report from The Smoking Gun, Clarke in 2009 was a civilian employee of the Defense Department stationed in Japan when he pleaded guilty to a federal child pornography possession charge. Authorities reportedly searched Clarke’s work computer and discovered multiple images of child sexual abuse material, which Clarke admitted he used for “self-gratification.”
Clarke was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in federal prison and ordered to remain on probation for the rest of his life, the report states.
