It’s official: Ryan Serhant’s eponymous real estate firm is now a family business.
On Tuesday, September 16, the Million Dollar Listing New York alum formally announced the newest member of the SERHANT. team: his wife, Emilia Bechrakis Serhant. According to a press release, Emilia joined the luxury brokerage firm as a licensed real estate agent and will work in the SoHo office alongside Melissa Post.
“Emilia is brilliant, determined, and has already achieved so much in her career,” Ryan said. “SERHANT. has grown bigger and more successful than we ever imagined, providing the resources, support, and platform for top agents and teams to thrive with AI, media, and educational support.”

Emilia made the career pivot with years of experience in law and the insurance industry. After earning degrees from some of the U.K.’s top schools (Kent University, University College London, and BPP University), Emilia became a practicing maritime lawyer who eventually transitioned to land title insurance. Before joining SERHANT., the New York-born Greek-American served as the vice president of business development at Kensington Vanguard National Land Services.
“Growing up in a real estate family between New York and Athens, I have always had a passion for the business,” she said in the presser. “When it came to choosing a brokerage and reviewing my options, and after weighing them all carefully, I ultimately chose SERHANT. Of course, that decision had absolutely nothing to do with my husband — it’s simply the best, and most innovative firm to build a career in real estate today.”

In addition to her law and insurance work, Emilia is also the author of the children’s book To the Moon and Back for You. The book, published by Random House, was inspired by Emilia’s pregnancy journey and experience with IVF, which resulted in the birth of her and Ryan’s daughter, Zena. The couple’s little girl was born in February 2019, more than two years after they got married.
Ryan shed light on his family life in a recent interview with Parents magazine, explaining why he and Emilia no longer post Zena’s face on social media.

“There’s a lot of things personally that we just have to keep sacred,” he said about maintaining his daughter’s privacy. “I think the world’s a crazy place, but [Zena] also didn’t make this decision to be public; my wife didn’t really either. Ryan made this decision, and they can be a part of it, but I don’t have to force them into it. When she’s old enough and she wants to, which it seems like she’s going to want to, then she can have that conversation with her mom.”
