LAURENS, S.C. (TCD) — A 38-year-old woman and 56-year-old man have been denied bond after allegedly killing the woman’s husband last month.
On Jan. 22, officers with the Laurens Police Department responded to a duplex on Church Street to a report of a natural death and found 52-year-old Vadis Greene deceased. After an autopsy, however, Greene’s death was determined to be homicide by blunt force trauma.
Upon further investigation, police identified Terry Anderson and the victim’s wife, 38-year-old Ashley Greene, as the primary suspects in the victim’s death. They were each charged with murder.
In an update posted March 1, police said the suspects were denied bond and remain held in the Laurens County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to the victim’s obituary, Vadis Greene leaves behind six children and worked as a barber prior to his death.
