SAN FRANCISCO (TCN) — Prosecutors announced charges against two people, including a life coach, on suspicion of fatally shooting several people dating back to over two decades ago.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, on Jan. 18, 2002, two suspects, identified by the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office as 44-year-old Sauntek Harris and 48-year-old Shaun Britton, allegedly robbed, carjacked, and fatally shot Perry Bradstreet as he ran away from them. His vehicle was reportedly set on fire and abandoned in the Oakdale Housing Project.
Responders attempted lifesaving measures on Bradstreet, but he died from his injuries.
The following month, Harris allegedly killed Lorenzo Richards with a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol inside an apartment complex.
On July 28, 2002, Prosecutors allege Harris fatally shot Gerald White to prevent him from testifying. SFGate reports that White was a witness in Bradstreet’s shooting death.
Harris allegedly killed another victim, Dietrich Whitley, over a decade later, on Aug. 10, 2019. According to the San Francisco Examiner, authorities allege Harris shot Whitley in retaliation after losing a fight against him.
Harris faces four counts of murder, and Britton faces one. Both suspects also face numerous allegations, including that the slayings were “committed for a criminal street gang.”
Harris was reportedly a community activist and life coach at Hunters Point.
