Savannah Guthrie’s Desperate Plea as FBI Says Found Glove Likely Matches Suspect’s Gloves – Crime Online

“Today” show host Savannah Guthrie made a heartfelt plea Sunday, as the search for her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, reaches day 15.

“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken. And I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope. And we still believe,” Savannah said on an Instagram video.

“I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is that it’s never too late. And you’re not lost or alone. And it is never too late to do the right thing. And we are here. And we believe. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being.”

Also on Sunday, the FBI stated that a glove located near Guthrie’s home in Catalina Foothills (AZ) Friday, appeared to match a pair of gloves a suspect was spotted wearing on Guthrie’s Nest doorbell cam.

The FBI, according to AP News, said the found glove had DNA on it and had been sent for testing. Although preliminary results are available, the FBI said its currently waiting on “official confirmation.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, family members said Nancy Guthrie, identified as the mother of “Today” show host, Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on January 31, after having dinner at her daughter Annie Guthrie’s residence.

They reported her missing the following day, after she failed to show up for church.

On Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel posted photos and videos of a potential armed subject.

On Thursday, agents labeled the armed subject as a “suspect.”

On Friday, they confirmed that they found blood at Guthrie’s home that did not belong to her or loved ones. The discovery came a week after Guthrie’s own blood had been found at the home.

The federal agency also announced a doubling of its reward offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved. That reward now stands at $100,000.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). Tipsters can also contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department tip line at 520-351-4900.
