Police in South Carolina are searching for a 16-year-old Sumter County girl missing since Tuesday.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Yu’Niya Zhrori Cooks, who, according to a news release, has not been seen for several days.
She was last seen Tuesday morning at 7:55 a.m., when she got off the school bus at Lakewood High School on Old Manning Road in Sumter and entered an SUV.
Police have not released information about who was driving the SUV or any other passengers in the vehicle. The sheriff’s office has not confirmed whether they consider Cooks a runaway or suspect foul play in her disappearance.
She’s described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 198 pounds. She has blonde braided hair and brown eyes.
