From the back alley at SUR to The New York Times best seller list, things for Scheana Shay are better than ever … in fact, they’re good as gold.
The former Vanderpump Rules SUR-ver-turned-author shared on Instagram that her intimate memoir, My Good Side, was a bona fide best seller. And as of July 31, one day after Scheana posted a screenshot of the exciting news, the page-turning tell-all maintained its No. 4 status in the category of nonfiction, as published by The New York Times.
The Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcaster said she was “SPEECHLESS” by the news, adding a teary-eyed emoji to convey her overwhelming gratitude.
Bravolebs react to Scheana Shea’s best-selling memoir
Some, of course, shouldn’t be surprised by Scheana’s literary victory. Former VPR costar and friend of The Valley, Lala Kent, already predicted the book would “be a New York Times best-seller” on the July 14 episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala. She also posted a photo of herself holding the hot-new-read in an Instagram Story.
The rest of the Bravoverse is abuzz over the news of Scheana landing on the NYT best seller list, too. The Valley cast members Michelle Saniei, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, and a host of others — including a boatload of Housewives — flooded Scheana’s comment section with congratulations.

What is Scheana Shay’s memoir, My Good Side, about?
From growing up in Los Angeles to the ups and downs of her marriage to her current husband, Brock Davies, Scheana left no stone unturned in the novel published by Grand Central Publishing.
Some of Scheana’s biggest tea-spilling moments from the book included her reasons for marrying her high school friend Mike Shay, who regularly appeared on VPR before the couple split in 2016. There was also much to savor about her 2006 fling with Eddie Cibrian — a topic that became a jumping-off point when Lisa Vanderpump created VPR while she was a castmember on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2013.
Revelations about the Bravoleb’s past relationships around the Hollywood scene, including dating actor Jesse Metcalfe, were just some of the juicy gossip Scheana promised when teasing “the good, the bad, the messy, along with the missteps and lessons learned along the way.”
But, perhaps most adjacent to where Scheana is in her life today, was the bombshell that Brock had an extramarital affair in 2020 while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies.

The mom of one has since stated that she even wondered if Brock cheating was “karma” due to her affair with Eddie. “Did I deserve for [Brock to cheat on me?] No, but I told myself I did,” she told Us Weekly.
Still, the couple powered through, and today, Brock is sorry for his actions.
