Scheana Shay is opening up about her life and sharing never-before-known facts in her new memoir, My Good Side, due out later this month. In a snippet from the new book, the Vanderpump Rules alum admitted for the first time that her husband, Brock Davies, had an affair while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies, in 2020. But there’s a reason why Scheana kept this information about Brock’s cheating private for so long.
Scheana admitted during a July 4 episode of her podcast, Scheanangians with Scheana Shay, that there were things in her life that she held back from sharing with the public. “There are some things I haven’t been as forthcoming about, or maybe that I never corrected the narrative on,” she said on the episode, released about a week before the book excerpt about Brock’s cheating was released.
She continued, revealing that she “never shared my side of the story because I’ve been afraid, or thought, if I tell people what I’m actually going through, then they’re gonna think that I’m trying to take the attention off what someone else is going through and make it about me.”
“In my book, I get to make it about me, and you’ll hear the sides of my story that I have never shared until now in the book, in my own words, with my control of the narrative for once,” she concluded.
Did Brock Davies cheat on Scheana Shay?
Yes. Scheana says that Brock had a “brief affair” and cheated on her while she was pregnant in an excerpt from her memoir.
In the excerpt, published by Glamour, Scheana recounted that Brock had confessed to cheating on her years prior, making the confession in between filming VPR Seasons 10 and 11, one night while they were watching TV. Brock had been particularly scared about becoming a dad for the second time, after having two kids that live in Australia from a previous relationship.
“As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else,” she wrote. “I use the word ‘chose’ because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.”

Brock told Scheana that he had a “brief affair” with someone he had known before they had met each other, but they had reconnected during Scheana’s pregnancy. He wrote a letter confessing to this shortly after the affair ended, and swore to Scheana that he would “never” betray her again.
“Once I’d read it, that was more than enough,” she concluded. “I told him to immediately toss it into the fire. I never wanted to set eyes on those words again.”
Are Brock Davies and Scheana Shay still together?
Yes they are. During the July 4 podcast episode, Scheana revealed that both Brock and Summer will be joining her on her upcoming book tour for My Good Side.
“You know, I’m going to incorporate them hopefully in some cities and whatnot,” she said.Â

When is Scheana Shay’s memoir, My Good Side, available to buy?
My Good Side will be available to purchase on July 22, 2025. The memoir will not only go over Scheana’s relationship with Brock, but her romantic relationships with actors Eddie Cibrian and Jesse Metcalfe. She will also be opening up about her first marriage to her ex-husband, Mike Shay.
According to the publisher, Scheana will “pull back the layers of who she really is and share all sides of her — the good, the bad, and messy — bringing readers on a wild nostalgia trip through the early days of Vanderpump Rules.”
