Screams Heard as Worker Is Mauled to Death by Cane Corso, 3 Other Dogs – Crime Online

Four dogs have been euthanized after they reportedly mauled a California man to death on Tuesday.

The dog mauling victim has not been identified, but SFGate reported that the fatal incident occurred as the he worked at a residential property in Jurupa Valley. The property owner was not present at the time, but he surrendered his animals — a Cane Corso and three Belgian Malinois dogs — to be euthanized.

According to SFGate, a 911 call was placed about someone screaming from the home, which doubled as a business. Police responded to the scene and requested backup, though it is unclear if the mauling victim was already dead.

The Riverside County Department of Animal Services said in a statement that the victim had worked at the property before Tuesday’s incident without any issues.

The incident remains under investigation. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told SFGate that they are withholding the decedent’s name until they can notify his next of kin.
