Screams Heard Hours Before Construction Worker Finds Restaurant Manager Beaten to Death: Report – Crime Online

A homicide investigation is underway in California after a woman was reportedly found beaten to death on Sunday.

KTLA reported that a construction worker discovered Tatum Goodwin’s body in an alley behind an old movie theater and Carmelita’s, a restaurant, in Laguna Beach. Police said her body suffered injuries consistent with a homicide.

Carmelita’s owner, Marcos Heredia, told the news outlet that Goodwin, 27, was an assistant manager there and worked for him for more than four years.

Meanwhile, Under Laguna reported that Goodwin was at Hennessey’s and the Marine Room before her disappearance — and she allegedly left appearing very upset. Screaming was allegedly heard at around 2 a.m.

According to Under Laguna, Goodwin recently broke up with her boyfriend.

Laguna Beach police have not officially identified the decedent or any suspects in this case. Anyone with information regarding this apparent homicide should call Laguna Beach Detective Tanner Flagstad at 949-497-0369.
