South Dakota authorities have asked for the public’s help in locating a 10-year-old boy who vanished on Thursday.
The Argus Leader reported that Sioux Falls authorities have classified Joel Takenalive as an endangered runaway. Police Captain Jason Leach said they have interviewed the missing boy’s parents, but have exhausted all of their leads.
Takenalive is considered endangered due to his age and because of freezing temperatures in the area at the time of his disappearance.
Takenalive was described as standing 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 85 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange sweater and red and white shoes.
