When Britani Bateman’s stuffed unicorn went MIA on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s crossover charter with the Below Deck Down Under crew, chief stew Daisy Kelliher came to the rescue.
As seen on Season 6, Episode 9, Bronwyn Newport and Meredith Marks had concocted a plan to throw “Uni” overboard (while wearing an inflatable lobster and pink shark costume, respectively).
“I guess I can’t throw Britani overboard, so Uni will have to do,” Meredith explained in a confessional, on the heels of their heated confrontation the previous evening. “I don’t know if I would say this is payback, but it’s exactly what Britani deserves. Period.”

While packing her luggage on the final day of the trip, Britani couldn’t find the unicorn, which was a gift from on-and-off boyfriend Jared Osmond and included a recording of him saying, “Good night, baby. You are loved.”
Britani departed the yacht with her castmates anyway, but as they were leaving the dock, Daisy had a spark of realization that they “forgot something” and ran off. The BDDU chief stew returned holding Uni high in the air.
“Stop it right now — I can’t believe it!” Britani exclaimed. “I thought it was gone. I thought it was lost.”
She noticed that the unicorn was wet, though, prompting Daisy to reply, “Well, it was in the water!” Chef Ben Robinson, meanwhile, joked that she should simply “put it in rice.”

All joking aside, Britani immediately began questioning her castmates, in an effort to get to the bottom of who was behind the unicorn incident.
Though Meredith was who actually tossed Uni into the Caribbean Sea for a “swim,” Bronwyn took responsibility, insisting to Britani, “It was supposed to just be a joke that made you laugh. I’m sorry.”
Whitney Rose, for one, agreed with Britani that the incident wasn’t funny, asking, “Why would you think that would make her laugh?”
Meredith eventually owned up to her part, too, admitting to Britani that she “was with Bronwyn” at the time of the incident.
“Yeah, Uni wanted to swim,” Meredith explained. “You got tanner and makeup all over him. He needed a little dip in the ocean.” She added with a laugh that it was “Bronwyn’s idea” anyway.
As Britani walked away from the group clutching the unicorn, Meredith flippantly observed, “She’s mad at me.”
In a confessional, Britani explained her emotional reaction: “I think it’s really cruel for someone to try to ruin my gift. Jared went to great lengths and made a personal message for me in it, and it’s really sentimental to me.”

As mentioned, Britani and Meredith clashed several times during the BDDU charter, but their lingering conflict reached a boiling point after the former brought up rumors circulating on TikTok that Seth Marks had a “possible indiscretion” with an alleged “mistress.”
Then, on their flight back to Utah, Meredith’s temper flared off-camera, according to her castmates, resulting in Britani leaving the plane in tears.

After the cast trip to Canouan wrapped, Meredith stopped by Bravo HQ to break down the drama between her and Britani, as well as their dynamic in general.
As Meredith put it, “[Britani] has a lot of hatred towards me, and, I don’t have hatred towards her, because you actually have to care enough about someone to hate them.”
She concluded, “I’m just not that interested.”
