The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Kathy Hilton rarely strays from her signature blonde hair. In fact, her daughters, Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton Rothschild, also tend to keep their hair in the blonde spectrum. Though that doesn’t mean the Hilton ladies haven’t experimented with their hair color. In fact, twenty years ago, both Kathy and Nicky dyed their hair darker colors. 

In a photo from the 13th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party from February 2005, Kathy and Nicky attended the star-studded bash with dark hair. Kathy’s hair was a deep auburn color with red hues. Meanwhile, Nicky was wearing her hair in a deep brunette shade that made it appear almost black. Paris kept it light with her hair in a shimmery blonde. Kathy’s husband, Rick Hilton, was also there and looked so proud alongside his family.

While Paris attended the event as a blonde, much like her famous mom and sister, Paris has also dipped her toe into the dark side of the haircolor pool. In 2023, just in time for Halloween, Paris rocked long dark hair, which she paired with a sexy latex red outfit and a wide-brimmed hat.

Of course, Kathy, Nicky, and Paris are best known for their sunny-hued tresses. And the trio often steps out in glam outfits paired with their blonde hair styled in various ways, including in an updo like Nicky here.

We mean, Kathy’s waves and Paris’ high ponytail are definitely offering up some styling inspo no matter what your haircolor is.

That brings us back to Kathy and Rick. The jury is still out on what shade of hair Rick prefers. Regardless, Kathy and Rick are still going strong. Throughout the summer, Rick shared multiple highlights and photos from the season spent by Kathy’s side. As the duo made memories as they traveled around and made time for loved ones, Rick confirmed in one caption that he and Kathy are “loving life.” (Kathy for the record was blonde all summer long.)

Last November, Kathy opened up about being married to Rick since 1979, revealing how they’ve managed to stay together this long. “And, I was just saying to someone, getting married so young like that — I was 19 and he was 23 — [the key is] just keeping the right people around you, the right influences, and being around other couples who are happy [and] have the same values as you,” she told People about their four-decade-plus long marriage.
