Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would expect nothing less than great hair from Kyle Richards, and she is here to serve… in bangs.
Kyle has tried it all when it comes to styling her thick, gorgeous head of hair, from her short bobs to her bright new hair colors. And although the 90210 brunette might have had certain feelings about her head-turning yet classic set of bangs in recent years, who doesn’t love a good throwback? Here are a few of Kyle’s fabulous fringy looks over the years.
Kyle Richards gets bangs for Halloween movies
In 2019, Kyle reprised her role as Lindsey Wallace from the 1978 horror classic Halloween for its sequels, Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022). She returned with the same hairstyle she sported at just 8 years old when she played the role decades ago.
But Kyle couldn’t help but compare the comeback style to another as a child: when she played Alicia Edwards from 1975 to 1982 in the wholesome series, Little House on the Prairie. “I can’t believe I have this exact haircut right now,” Kyle joked in an October 2019 Instagram post.

Whether sweeping her bangs to the side or sporting a bolder cut — like the “sexy bang” celeb hairstylist Julius Michael gave her in 2020 — Kyle knows how to pull off a look that isn’t always that easy to pull off. When in doubt, Kyle said she could always throw them back when she puts her hair in a ponytail, as she did when she and her daughter Sophia Umansky visited the country’s capital in 2019.
“I still have them. I can push them back, though,” Kyle said in the comments about her pulled-back bangs.
A couple of months later, she let her bangs back out, noting the comparison between her and her eldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aaldjufrie. “Like mother, like daughter,” Kyle captioned the side-by-side photo on Instagram.
But, when Kyle showed off her Halloween hairstyle in the RHOBH Season 10 premiere, Kyle explained the jury was still out regarding fans’ opinions of her bangin’ cut. “People who watched The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Wednesday had very strong feelings about my bangs,” Kyle said at the time. “They either loved them or they hated them. Twitter hates them. Instagram mostly likes them.”

When discussing the public’s reaction to her Season 10 bangs, Kyle expressed reservations about bringing back the bangs. “I, personally, am very glad they have grown out, especially after watching that show,” she confessed. “I really hope that I don’t do that again.”
She disliked the bangs so much that when filming Halloween Ends in 2022, she requested a partial hairpiece to pull them off, according to People. Although Kyle once “loved” the look because people commented that she “look[ed] so young,” her love of bangs didn’t last.
“I got over them really fast, and they didn’t grow fast enough,” she admitted.
While promoting the horror film, Kyle went to a “famous wig maker,” noting how much work went into making the “little” bangs.
“So this movie, they made [fake bangs] to match my hair on my head. I had to go for I don’t know how many fittings for this little piece of bangs,” she told the publication. “You would’ve thought it was a whole head of hair that they were crafting. But a lot goes into making them, believe it or not.”
