The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King is one busy mama, but that doesn’t mean she can’t juggle great style, too! And, that means she sometimes changes up her signature blonde hair and embraces the dark side.
The real estate agent, now based in St. Louis, Missouri, has her hands full as a working mom to her three children: 8-year-old daughter, Aspen, and 7-year-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes Edmonds. However, over the years, the former model made time for her wellness and beauty routine. As one could expect, Meghan’s hair has taken fans on an epic journey. Meghan previously dyed her hair pink and flaunted playful halo braids, too!
And what’s not to love about her dark brown look? Meghan turned heads at the RHOC Season 10 reunion when she came out with long, flowing brunette hair that made her nearly unrecognizable.

Nearly six years later, she again traded her light locks for darker tones. She explained through a couple of September 8, 2020, Instagram Stories that her stylist referred to the color as “brownde” and then asked her followers what they thought.

“Aspen’s now asking me, ‘Why don’t I have blonde hair, Mommy? I want blonde hair like you,’” Meghan stated. “I tell her you’re beautiful just how God made you… as I go get highlights in my hair. So, thought I maybe should talk the talk and walk the walk.”

Back in October of last year, Meghan shared a photo from the reunion in which she was rocking the dark hair and captioned it, “Okay, make it a meme. What am I pointing at?”

On March 25, 2021, Meghan devoted an entire blog post to hair care, in which she stated, “Hair defines us.”
Growing up, Meghan reveled in trends that were popular at the time, including using Sun-in and purchasing boxed dyes of all shades from the drugstore.

“I did not discriminate,” she continued in the blog post. “But it discriminated against me because my hair never quite turned out like the model on the box. Funny how that works.”
Highlights were also something Meghan experimented with, as were extensions in her 20s. But she was also no stranger — before her days as a Housewife — to pinks, purples, and an ombre look of the two.
