Will the melodic piano tones of “Here Comes The Bride” be enough to convince Calah Jackson to give Steven McBee Jr. another shot? In a preview of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2 finale (set to air Monday, Sept. 1), Steven opens up about his optimism for reconciliation with his longtime on-and-off-again girlfriend.
“Calah and I have had a really good week, and honestly, I’ve missed her,” he confesses in the above sneak peek. “Love’ll be in the air. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be a last ditch effort for us to get back together.”
His hopeful words come as he and his family are dressing for his brother Jesse McBee’s wedding to Alli Ventresca.
“Steven, did you end up finding a wedding date?” Cole McBee asks, and Steven Jr. drops a bombshell: “Yeah, Calah’s coming.”
He then tries to justify the decision to invite his current ex-girlfriend to a family wedding, explaining, “We said it was going to be no drama. She was already planning on coming. She has a relationship with Kacie [Adkison] and Alli.”

But his family isn’t convinced it’s a good idea.
“Why do you all keep going back in this rabbit hole?” Brayden McBee asks, referencing the couple’s tumultuous relationship.
Kacie is also shocked to hear of the invite, adding: “She’s coming!?”
As Brayden asks if the family matriarch, Kristi McBee, is aware of Calah’s invite, Steven just answers, “I don’t know.”
Why Steven McBee Jr. asked Calah Jackson to get back together
ICYMI, Steven decided to ask Calah to reconcile during Season 2, Episode 8 after he “realized some things.”
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,” Steven admitted on the August 18 episode. “Well, here I am. Doing the exact same thing, and hoping for a different result.”
In addition to apologizing to Calah for their blow up during the McBee family’s Ozarks vacation, he shared his idea for Calah to still be his wedding date to Jesse and Alli’s wedding. But Calah shared her reservations about attending after her past conflicts with McBees, including her shouting match with Cole in the Ozarks.
“I don’t know. It’s still such an uncomfortable situation,” she told him.

She later confessed she didn’t know if reconciliation was what she wanted, or if it was to move out of Missouri and be back with her family.
“I want to go back to Texas. I want to be around family. But at the same time, I think that I’ve just always held onto that hope,” she shared.
