When Angela Oakley showed up to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion with a “whole file cabinet” of receipts, Phaedra Parks had to call for reinforcements — literally.
RHOA‘s Reunion Part 2 picked back up with Angela’s accusation that Phaedra had sent a restaurant owner named Marcus to “ambush” her with new Charles Oakley cheating allegations. As viewers saw in the previous episode, Angela brought printed-out screenshots showing that Marcus’ aunt and Phaedra’s brother were Facebook friends and classmates in her hometown, Athens, Georgia.
Even so, Phaedra maintained her innocence in the scheme, insisting that she didn’t know Marcus, nor did she hire him to stir up drama in Angela and Charles’ marriage. “I don’t know everybody my brother knows,” she contended.
When Angela doubled down that she was a “liar,” Phaedra asked to borrow a phone to call her older brother, Jacques, and clear the whole thing up. As Porsha Williams passed Phaedra a phone, host Andy Cohen asked, “Is he gonna pick up?”

When he did indeed pick up, Phaedra put her brother on speakerphone. Jacques confirmed that he didn’t know Marcus’ aunt, and what’s more, claimed he’d “never even heard of” her before.
As for the fact they were allegedly connected on social media, Jacques fired back, “I’m Facebook friends with a million and one people, so that [doesn’t] mean anything.”
Even after the call, though, Angela said she believed that he was just protecting his sister.
The RHOA cast weighs in on Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley’s drama
As the two stated their cases, Andy asked the other ladies if they believed Phaedra was behind the whole thing and gave them an opportunity to share their own theories on who sent Marcus to Kelli Ferrell’s cooking event.
After Porsha Williams alleged in the RHOA Season 16 finale that “Angela did this to herself,” Shamea Morton said at the reunion, “I think it would be kind of bogus for Angela to set something up like this about her own marriage.”
As Porsha clarified to Angela, though, “I don’t believe that you set up on yourself, right? What I’m saying was when it came to Phaedra, it just did not make sense.”

Drew Sidora, for her part, chimed in to note that Marcus “seemed really scared” at her and Angela’s “interrogation” and was “afraid to come forward and even reveal” that Phaedra allegedly “paid him to bring this story forward.”
Finally, Cynthia Bailey, who was doubtful from the beginning that Phaedra could have possibly been involved, added, “First of all, if Angela set this up, it would be the biggest heist of all time. Because I still don’t know who actually did.”
Where Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley stand after the RHOA reunion
Realizing that they were not “gonna solve this,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host chose to move on, asking Angela where she currently stood with Phaedra and the rest of her RHOA castmates.
“I feel like there’s still more issues that need to be ironed out, but I feel like we can move forward as a group,” she responded.
Despite exchanging more barbs throughout the episode later on, Angela and Phaedra eventually seemed to reach a much more positive space.
Not only did Phaedra refer to Angela’s forthcoming line of fans, which she’s calling Fan-gie, as “impressive,” but she also said she was “super sorry” to hear about her mother’s “very sudden” death in October 2024. She also revealed that she had reached out to Angela, at the time.
Later, Phaedra broadly advised against making “strong conclusions about people based on one experience,” and confirmed that her message “could” apply to her relationship with Angela.
“We did have a bad experience,” Phaedra noted. “But even after all of that, when I reached out to you after I heard about your mama dying, I hope you know that was real real.”
“I hope it was real,” Angela replied to Phaedra, who added, “[We’re] gonna be petty and [we’re] gonna be shady, but life is too short to lose a friendship over absolutely nothing. Because you’re here today, gone tomorrow.”
